R7.02.20 Global Studies Program

2月20日（木）～22日（土）に美喜仁桐生文化会館で『Global Studies Program』が開催されました。このプログラムでは様々な国（パキスタン・フィリピン・ガーナ・インド・インドネシア）から日本の大学（東京大学・政策研究大学院大学・長岡科学技術大学）に通っている5名の外国人留学生と交流をしながらグループ活動をし、社会的なトピックについて議論しました。最終的な活動は、生徒一人一人が発表をすることでした。 Through this program, students of our school were able to spend three days in an immersive English environment. They could improve their communication skills by sharing their ideas and opinions with fellow non-native English speakers – people who could understand the difficulty of studying and communicating in a language different from their own. With words of encouragement and empowerment from their team leaders, the students were able to overcome their fears about actively speaking in English. On the final day, each student made a presentation. While they were given the option to look at their scripts, the vast majority of the presentations were done without reading lines – an impressive feat! Thanks to this program, the participating students were not only able to increase their English abilities, but also became more confident in themselves. It was impressive to see how much they changed over just three days! Well done to everyone who participated! R6.09.24 数学コンテスト表彰式

　7月24日(水)本校を会場に2年生約70名が参加しました。その中で2年7組茂木悠樹君が「始動人アイデア賞」を受賞し、9月24日（火）県庁で行われた表彰式に出席してきました。　表彰式当日は「ＳＴＥＡＭ講演会」が開催され、『社会で求められている数学の力～データ分析には学校で学ぶ数学が大切です～』との演題で講義があり、さらに数学の必要性に理解を深めてきました。
