Now that it is the end of the first term, I'd like to look back on some of our activities since April. 

We started the year with an Easter Party, and took a group photo under the beautifullly blossoming cherry trees.

We then had a "get to know each other" event so that we could welcome the new first and second grade members.

Another big event we held was an English cooking class in June. The students researched and found a recipe in English by themselves, then we made sugar cookies in the home economics room. Thank you to everyone who helped us do this! The students were able to make delicious cookies!

Our final event of the term was an end of term party. We played Kahoot, and made summer-themed acrostic poems. 

We also had to say farewell to our amazing ALT, Lauren Taylor, who is heading back to the US at the end of this term 

We'll miss you Lauren, and we wish you the very best of luck!

Other than these key events, we played boardgames, learned a new dance, watched movies, and had study sessions before tests.

Overall, I think we had a very fun first term for this school year.

As 2023 ends, I'd like to look back on the activties our English club has been involved in since April.

First, on top of our usual activities, we had the School Culture Festival in June. Using one of the spare rooms, we invited guests to the school to come and play English games with our students, like Karuta. (For privacy reasons, we couldn't take pictures of the activities while they were being played.)

In between school events and exams, we did our usual club activities like playing board games in English and doing English revision tests. Here are some of the students enjoying a game of Scrabble. 

We also had a Halloween party this year, where our ALT Lauren-sensei created fun games for the students to enjoy. One of the games we played was called "Werewolf," where the students had to guess who was the werewolf in the group.

And finally for our last club event of the year, we had a Christmas party, where we played Christmas games like "Pin the carrot on the snowman," and decorated a 'Christmas tree' on the blackboard by writing our wishes for the next year on decorations. 

The English club had a great year in 2023, and we hope you continue to support us in 2024!   

英語部のHalloween Partyが11月14日に行われました！

2学年の修学旅行、中間テストなどのスケジュールの関係で11月に延期しました。

ALTのローレン先生が用意してくれたゲームを行い、生徒たちはとても楽しそうでした！

2年生対1年生で対戦し、1年チームが優勝しました！

12月にChristmas Partyを計画していますので、楽しみにしています

＊今回利用したペーパーは、家庭から持参したものを使用しました。また、新型コロナ感染防止対策の観点から、トイレでの再利用はしませんでしたが、別の用途で再利用いたしました。

今日から英語部の活動がスタートしました

新入部員を歓迎して、全員の前に自己紹介をしました。緊張感もありましたが、皆さんが明るく挨拶することができました

ジョセフ先生も参加してくれて、あっという間に時間になってしまいました。
